Genealogy Fan

Here is a fun link to go to.  If you want to do a genealogy fan.  It is pretty too.http://createfan.com/  I tried posting the one I did, but I can't figure out how.  But have fun!!!

Double Digits Birthday!!! :)

Maren is 10 now.  Our first to reach double digits.  We had a nice quiet little birthday, since having a new water system recently (which we all love now that our bathtub is not so yellow anymore, and glasses not so white and crusty) pretty much drained away lots of money. She was a good sport.  I love my little ones.  They are so sweet and wonderful.  But we did have a lot of fun!!!

When I asked Maren what kind of cake she wanted, she said, she wanted something fun (like Corby's) and with lots of candy.  We found a fun decorating thing for making dragonflies,  so we tried to stick to that.  But then decided to embellish, a lot.  :)  Needless to say, she was very happy with her cake.  Can you see the dragonflies?

The younger kids decided to make this into a costume party.  I opened a box that my mother- in- law brought down from Bryan and Cecily's house that had fun costumes that Edward had grown out of.  We got from them the spiderman costume, and a pirate costume (not shown).

Maren decided not to dress up, but had fun with a longer turn on the computer, her favorite thing to do.
After our new tradition of Beulah Beulah, Maren opened her presents.  Below are some of her reactions to her presents.

We had so much fun.  Maren I love you so much and am so happy to have you in my life.  You have truly enriched it.  I think you are the best 10 year old anyone could ever hope to have as a daughter. :)

The Wishbone

One of the most fun thing to do after Thanksgiving, is the Wishbone.  But since there is only one, they all had to share.  Here is a classic competition of Girls vs. Boys.  Who will win?  Check to find out!!!

Can you see the wishbone?

Sebastian Inlet

The day after Thanksgiving, the kids and I decided to drive up to Sebastian Inlet.  I had hear that you can see Manatee swimming around there, but we weren't so lucky.  The scene was gorgeous though.  We did have a great time.  Warning.  Pictures below may lead you to wanting to come visit and have fun at the beaches!!!

Hop- along little frogs

One day Maren, Baby(the dog) and I went for a morning walk.  It was a bit drizzly, so we had our umbrellas too.  On our walk we saw about a million little tiny frogs hopping all over the street.  It was very difficult to walk, because of it.  We tip toed through them all, and seemingly avoided squishing any of them.  When we returned home, I brought all the kids, as they each woke up, out to catch as many as they could.  Then we released them into our back yard.  It turns out they are little toads.  But we are happy, none-the-less, since they will enjoy eating all those nasty bugs that like to live in our yard.  Hurray for cute little frogs and toads!!!

Can you see them?

Corby was the best frog catcher.  He had no fear of picking them up.  I was always afraid of squishing them, but he was definitely gentle enough, because they were just fine.  He caught the most frogs.

Brenna was too afraid to catch them, but loved looking at them.
