Conner has his religious square knot now. He loves scouts so much. He does a great job, and his leaders are wonderful. 

Preggie belly

So I decided to take a picture of my pregnant belly before the baby comes, which should be any day now. Baby Evelyn is due on Monday, but could come anyday now. We are excited to see her when she finally decides to come. All in good time though. :)

Migrating robins

Last year we experienced a big flock of migrating robins in our yard and around our neighborhood. Today we experience them again. I have a picture, but it just doesn't show the awesomeness that they are in life. 

My morning view

One thing I love about my home is in the morning waking up to beautiful sunrises, and the fun colors that come with them. I'll see rust oranges, light purples, pinks, and finally blues. It is amazing. I've never experienced so many beautiful sunrises as I have here. Usually I just catch the beautiful sunsets. 

I tried to capture the sunrise this morning, but pictures just don't do it any justice. 

New phone

So, our baby is due in a week, and I realized that all of our cameras work terribly. I mentioned it to Sean, and he reminded me that we were due for iPhone upgrades. I jumped on it. Now I have the next generation up, from 3G to 4G. With my up grade my phone can now do panoramic pictures, I have a flash for my camera, and I have a forward facing camera, which makes for good selfies. ;) I can also skype or do FaceTime, iPhone's version of skype. I feel like I have gone up in the world. 

As for my old phone, Maren's is currently using it as an iPod until I can find a good prepaid plan that is good and cheap for her.  Here are a few test pictures we took for your enjoyment. ;)

Updates.

I know it has been a long while since I've updated my blog.  For those of you who have not seen our new house, here it is.  Our lot is a little over an acre and a half, sits next to a little river, and in a nice, quiet, old, scenic neighborhood. This is, by far, the largest house we have ever lived in.  Over 3000 sqft. with four bedrooms, and three bathrooms.  We also have a basement, which we hardly ever use, because, truth be told, Florida should never have basements.  It is alright when it is not raining, but when it does rain, there are plenty of puddles that come up from underground.  We are looking for ways to fix that, but until that happens, we just avoid really going down there.  

We have four mango trees, which we found out squirrels are crazy about. We also have banana trees, and a citrus tree, that I thought was an orange tree, but turns out the pulp tastes more like a ruby red grapefruit.  We also have a starfruit tree, which we were so excited about, after our wonderful one at our last house, but turns out the ones here are sour/ bitter.  I'll have to research them and see if there is a way to fix it to produce sweeter fruit.  

We love the new space, and all the old trees in the yard.  One can't help but feel it a nice get away from all the hustle and bustle of the outside world.  The nice thing is, we get the feeling of being out in the country, while also being really close to shopping, and major highways.  

Yes, we love our new home.  We are still trying to get the insides better, furniture wise.  Going from a 1300sqft. house to a 3000sqft. house requires much more furnishing. But it is slowly coming along.  I'm not in any rush to make things perfect just yet.  One thing at a time.  But eventually, we'll have it filled with our own finishing touches.  

Also, we are expecting a new little one in our family. In January, we are expecting a little girl. Evelyn Rose.  

I will try to do better to update everyone with things going on. It will take awhile. I have a whole year to update, as well as keep up with going ons around here. Until then, I hope this little update keeps everyone satisfied until I can do more. :)

Halloween 2012

This was our Halloween this year.  I decorated pretty much the day of. But it all turned out well.  Instead of pumpkin Jack-o- lanterns, we painted some milk jugs, and drew faces onto them.  I also bought a blacklight for my porch light.  The affect was very nice.  I can't  forget our fun dummy we made out of random clothes, and stuffed with plastic grocery bags.  It was fun.  I think it was our best decoration yet.  A favorite by far for the whole family. Can you all guess what everyone is dressed as?

Maren - Katniss, Brenna- fairy princess, Corby- a bat, and Conner- a Cat. 

We made the bow and arrows.  It was fun. :)

The rest of the decorations.  The spiderwebs shined nice and eerily in the black light.  Awesome affect.  The candy didn't last too long.  I made sure to put it out in small increments.  You know how greedy some trick or treaters can be. 

We went to the church for a church Fall Festival.  I decorated a door to pass out candy. We also had a chili cook off, I made taco soup, the kids played at all the fun carnival like games, and won treats.  

Maren found another  Katniss.  They were known as "Big Katniss and Small Katniss."

Just before the kids went trick or treating, they had them all get together for a large group picture.  So many fun Costumes.  

The pictures weren't too great, but here is a small taste of my fun decorations at home. 

After the Church party we just went down our street trick or treating.  We ended up  all satisfied with our fun decorations, exciting costumes, full trick or treat bags, and tired from all our little adventures.
